The Earth is a spinning body.

Most of us at one stage have sat on a swivel chair or similar type object, and experienced the change in the speed of rotation when you extend or contract your limbs. We have noticed to that if the mass of a spinning object is not evenly distributed it wobbles.

Earlier related topics suggest that the gases and liquids move around the planet as a counterbalancing mechanism. That in itself is a redistribution of mass.

Ponder This ...

• Does the movement of mass by mining activity change the balance of the Earth and change (however minuscule) the orbit or the angle of the planet in relation to the sun ?
• Does the movement of people, creatures have any impact ?
• Does the construction of buildings, dams etc requiring a change in mass distribution cause a balance shift ?
