PAY THE PREMIUMS !

In the insurance world, you need have a policy and pay the premiums before you can claim the benefits. The premium pool is where the benefits are paid from.

In our society, the premium pool equates to the taxes that we pay. No taxes means no entitlements/benefits.

Again in our society we have many who want benefits in excess of the taxes they want to pay. Some want all the benefits but do not want to contribute to the funding pool at all.

In cases the benefits are considered over generous, perhaps unnecessary, and not worth the premium demanded.

Entitlements and their funding will always be a contentious issue!
